Fifth Person Charged for Animal Abuse
A fifth person has been charged in an animal abuse case out of Cole County.
Cole County Prosecutors have charged Randy A. Morgan with 19 felony counts of Second Degree Animal Abuse early Monday.
His charges are in relation to events on July 15th, when Cole County Deputies found 20 dogs and 2 cats inside a double wide trailer, and, according to probable cause statements, almost all of them were in kennels filled with urine and feces and were not being properly cared for.
Authorities said that because Morgan had access to the home, he knew about the conditions that the animals were being kept in.
Last month, four other people, Henry C. Ousley, Jr., Ashley E. Ousley, Jessica D. Morgan, and Casey Logsdon, were charged with 22 felony counts of Second Degree Animal Abuse in the case.
