Knight Sentenced to Life in Fathers Killing
A 25-year-old Hartsburg man who pleaded guilty to the murder of his father was sentenced to life in prison Monday in Boone County Court. Collin Knight, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in February.
At the time of Knight’s father’s killing, Knight was on probation for two counts of first-degree domestic assault after he allegedly assaulted two family members with knives. Knight was sentenced to 15 years in prison Monday for the probation violation.
Knight’s father was found dead with at least 15 stab wounds at a home on Old Route A on Sept. 2, 2022.
