KWWR Sports Report 8/7/2025
The Southeastern Conference announced its 2026 league slate yesterday and the Tigers 18-game schedule features 16 games against teams that qualified for the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
Nine of those teams make the trip to Mizzou Arena. The Tigers set to be challenged right from the start, hosting defending national champion Florida on Saturday, January 3.
In Major League Baseball, Johnathon India hit a three-run home run in leading Kansas City to a 7-3 win over Boston last night. The win broke the Red Sox seven game winning streak. Michael Wacha went six innings to get the victory for KC.
St. Louis posted their 28th come from behind win yesterday, defeating LA 5-3. Jordan Walker had three hits in the win as Riley O’Brien picked up his first major league save. Shohei Ohtani picked up his 1,000th hit in the game with a two-run homer.
