Macon City Administrator Let Go
The City of Macon announced the departure of its City Administrator on Facebook yesterday (Thursday). According to the post from the city, the city council relieved City Administrator Scott Meszaros from his duties.
The statement from the city also included a comment from Macon Mayor Tony Petre. “After long deliberation among the Council, we believe the best interests of the City would be better served by moving in a different direction,” Petre said. “We appreciate Mr. Meszaros’ hard work, professionalism, and dedication to our city. We wish him success in his future endeavors.”
The city council is set to begin discussing an interim city administrator in the coming days.
