Macon Appoints Craig Interim City Administrator
The City of Macon has appointed Mary Lou Craig as the city’s interim city administrator. Craig will replace Scott Meszaros, who was fired last week after being on the job for less than six months.
According to a social media post, Craig has worked for the city as either the city clerk or assistant city administrator since 2014 and was previously the city clerk in Shelbina for 12 years.
The City Council is expected to begin advertising for the position soon and taking applications immediately.
