MHS Speech Team Competes In NSDA District Tournament
Members of the Mexico High School Speech Team compete in Ladue over the weekend.
They were competing in the National Speech and Debate Association in District action.
For the first time in school history, the entire team advanced into the semifinals.

Sophomore Jyllian Whitworth and freshman Samantha Smith advanced to the final round in Program Oral Interpretation with Smith ultimately taking 4th place and Whitworth taking 5th place.
The top 3 in each category advance to Nationals, both Smith and Whitworth are alternates for Nationals.
