Trial Date Delayed for Fulton Man Accused of Killing Classmate
A trial date for a Fulton man accused of killing his classmate in 1991 is being delayed.
46-year-old Chris Niemet is accused of killing his classmate, Greg Jones in Aprial 1991 in Russelville. Jones was 14, and Niemet was also 14 at the time.
Niemet was charged in 2020 with first-degree murder and had a jury trial set for Monday, July 17, however it was canceled.
A trial setting is now scheduled for Wednesday, June 14th, at the Cole County Circuit Court.
