Big Time Performance by the Mexico High School Academic Team in National Competition
The Mexico High School Academic Team is once again tops in the nation after competing in the Partnership for Academic Competition Excellence in Chicago, Illinois this weekend.
The team of Jamison Jeffries, Declan Gleeson, Ash Frederickson, Camden Williams, and Carter Blackburn finished in 32nd place.
Last year the team took 47th place.
Mexico took 3rd overall for small schools in the nation.
Camden Williams was awarded the top Rising Star award and ended as the 2nd top scorer in the nation.
Half of the six player team are Sophomores and will be back next year.
The team is led by head coach Dale Schenewerk, and assistants Cooper Manns and Sarah Gleeson.
