Over Five Hundred Thousand Dollars in Grant Money Awarded to North Callaway Fire District
The North Callaway Fire District is the recipient of a $554,000 federal grant.
The money was awarded through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program, and allowed them to purchase a new fire truck and some other essential equipment.
The new truck cost roughly $582,000 and replaces the department’s 30-year-old pumper truck.
The building and deployment of the new truck is estimated to take up to two years.
