Two People Killed in Fire Just Outside of Fulton

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office is confirming that two people were found deceased following a structure fire at the Potawatomi Campgrounds just outside of Fulton during the morning hours of Tuesday, January 17, 2024.

The sheriff’s office said a number of deceased were found as well.

Members of multiple area fire departments, as well as the sheriff’s office, responded to the fire located off Bartley Lane.

A residence was fully involved in the fire.

The 911 caller reportedly said he believed two residents were inside the home at the time of the fire.

The investigation is continuing and the names of the deceased will not be released until a later time.
