A Moberly man, who was a former volunteer with Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland, was sentenced Monday to 10 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on child pornography charges.

Shawn McGee was sentenced in Randolph County on one count of possession of child pornography. According to court records, McGee gave an Alford plea back in February, meaning a defendant enters a guilty plea but maintains their innocence.

McGee was charged with child sex crimes in October 2021, after investigators found more than 20 images depicting child sexual abuse on McGee’s computer.
