In celebration of National Fishing and Boating Week, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Mark Twain Lake will host Kid’s Fishing Day on June 14, from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM for children ages 5 to 12.
Registration will open on Thursday, May 14, beginning at 8:00 AM, and will close on Wednesday, June 11, at 3:00 PM. Participation is limited to the first 30 children who register in advance at the Mark Twain Lake Project Office by calling (573) 735-4097 or by visiting the office located on Route J, just north of Clarence Cannon Dam. No groups larger than four may register at one time, and only those registered will be allowed to participate due to limited space
The Missouri Department of Conservation will provide fishing equipment for the day, but attendees may also bring personal fishing gear if they prefer. Volunteers will be present to instruct and assist young anglers throughout the morning.
