Testimony expected to continue today in Day four of the Kimo Spivey murder trial in Boone County Court.

Yesterday, jurors saw Spivey testify. He swore that he had no plans to kill Hooker, and that the incident escalated when Spivey “feared for his life” as Hooker said he was going to get his gun.

The 35-year-old Spivey, of Columbia is accused of killing Melvin Hooker III outside of Plush Lounge in May 2023.

The trial scheduled for an 8:30 start this morning, with testimony wrapping up and final arguments on tap.
