Mizzou baseball has landed another transfer. Donovan Jordan, a 6’1, 210-pound outfielder, redshirted at Texas during the 2025 season. The Humble, Texas native was ranked as the No. 429 player nationally and the No. 73 outfielder a year ago coming out of high school. He transfers with four years of eligibility.

Mizzou football snagged a player from the Peach State over the weekend. Marietta (Ga.) Kell’s Tony Forney committed to the Tigers. The 6’1, 190-pound safety is a three-star prospect and is Mizzou’s 9th commit for the 2026 class.

In MLB,
Michael Lorenzen struck out seven in seven dominant innings, Bobby Witt Jr. and Salvador Perez each homered and the Kansas City Royals beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-0 on Sunday. Lorenzen allowed two hits and walked one. Pitcher Kris Bubic and shortstop Bobby Witt, Jr were both named to the American League All-Star Team.

For the second time in three games, the Chicago Cubs dominated the St. Louis Cardinals Sunday night. The Cubs manhandled the Cards 11-0. Erik Feddde took the loss. One bright spot was the naming of Brendan Donovan to the All-Star team. He is St. Louis’ lone representative to date.
