The incident occurred yesterday (Wednesday), at 8:06am, in the 3900 block of Scarborough Way. Officers responded to a report that someone had driven their car into the front yard of a home.

The officer arrived to see a blue Kia parked sideways in the grass, still running. Bailey E. Thomas, was fast asleep behind the wheel with her foot on the brake.

Court documents show the officer saw a syringe fall out of the crook of Thomas’ arm when she awakened. The officer also said Thomas kept nodding off during the test to see if she was intoxicated

Thomas was found with three baggies in a pocket of her shorts. One baggie held eight grams of methamphetamine, the second held two grams of fentanyl, and the third held 17 grams of meth.

Prosecutors charged Thomas with felony counts of Second Degree Drug Trafficking and Possession of Controlled Substance, misdemeanor counts of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, DWI, and Failure to Drive on the Right Half of the Roadway.
