A 34-year-old Bowling Green woman was seriously hurt yesterday morning in an accident in Audrain County. The crash happened at 7:10 am on US 54 at County Road 485.

An 89-year-old Martinsburg man, driving a 2005 Dodge Caravan, rear-ended a 2015 Mercedes ML350 driven by the woman, which in turn struck a a 2014 GMC Terrain, driven by a 31-year old Vandalia woman.

The vehicles were westbound and stopped waiting for another vehicle to make a turn off of Highway 54.

The Bowling Green woman was transported by EMS to University Hospital in Columbia.

The Martinsburg man suffered minor injuries and the Vandalia woman was unhurt.
