A Callaway County man has been indicted on nine counts of attempted production of child pornography. Federal prosecutors say 59-year-old David Lee Maddox used Skype to pay for and receive live-streamed abuse involving minors in the Philippines between 2021 and 2023.

Homeland Security Investigations led the case, with support from local Missouri agencies. If convicted, Maddox faces up to 30 years in federal prison for each count. He was arrested this week and made his first court appearance yesterday (Wednesday). The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Ashley Turner.
