Fulton authorities arrested 58-year-old Rebecca Elm on Sunday, after she shot at an elderly neighbor who had driven a skid steer onto her property.
The call came in to Callaway County Joint Communications at 4:15pm and it was Elm, reporting that a man was driving the machine on her property, and that she had fired one round from an AR-15.
Deputies arrived at the scene, and found a single shot had broke the glass in the skid steer, cutting the man’s arm.
The man explained that Elm had pulled her vehicle into his path to block him from being able to reach an easement.
Prosecutors charged Elm with Second Degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action, and First Degree Property Damage.
When deputies arrested her, documents state that Elm muttered, “I should of just shot him, then.”
She is currently being held in the Callaway County Jail without bail.
