Starting to get more details on the deadly shooting in Paris Sunday. Two women have now been jailed in Randolph County on suspicion of hindering prosecution in a homicide investigation that ended with a man shot dead by law enforcement officers.
78-year-old Lois Armour, and 51-year-old Patty Armour, both of Paris, were arrested Sunday night. The women’s arrest was in connection to the death of 57-year-old Charles Armour.
Armour was killed in a shootout with deputies and state troopers Sunday afternoon at a home in Paris, after he was identified as a person of interest in an earlier deadly shooting Sunday in Ralls County.
In a police statement, deputies and troopers went into the home Sunday after they were invited in to search and that’s when shots were fired. More details on the role the women played in getting the officers into the house, should be available today.
