Last night (Wednesday), the Hallsville School board accepted the resignations of the two Hallsville School District employees who were placed on administrative leave in mid-September over their sharing of a post criticizing conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
According to a message from the school district this morning, both employees have entered into separation agreements with the district. The school board said it will not comment further on the matter because it is a personnel issue.
The district placed the two employees on paid leave last month after they shared a highly critical Facebook post of Kirk onto their personal accounts. The post came the week after he was assassinated.
