A Camden County man has pleaded guilty in a case involving a stolen ATM.
Prosecutors say 25-year-old Augustus Sherman admitted to stealing a vehicle used in the January break-in at Oak Star Bank in Osage Beach.
A felony stealing charge was dropped, but Sherman was sentenced to five years in prison due to prior offenses.
Sherman was one of four men accused in the theft. Authorities say the group used a stolen truck to rip open the ATM, then fled to Oklahoma, where they were later arrested. Investigators recovered more than $47,000 in cash from their vehicle.
Cases against the other three suspects are still pending.
