MoDot crews in Kingdom City have removed the overhead portion of the railroad bridge over Callaway County Route FF (Old U.S. Route 40) and the roadway is now back open some two weeks ahead of schedule. All height restrictions are now removed .

Daytime closures for the overhead bridge removal began Oct. 14 and were expected to take a month.

The supporting structures of the bridge will be removed at a later, yet-to-be-determined date.
