The Columbia Public School Board will consider adding an AI bot to the district’s web-site aimed at helping parents with questions, at its meeting tonight.
The bot, named Betty Ai, would cost $11,000 to implement and would be programmed as a new chat feature for users.
The bot has previously been used in limited capacity by the Missouri State Teachers Association.
If approved, Betty Bot testing will begin on the CPS site on Nov. 25 before being released for the general public’s use.
