Columbia Police are investigating a deadly shooting in north Columbia.

Officers say 46-year-old Edward Brown Jr. was shot and killed Wednesday night at a home on Triple Crown Drive.

A 15-year-old has been detained in connection with the case.

Police officals say all parties involved are in custody, and there’s no active threat to the public.

About half a dozen police vehicles were seen at the scene around 7 p.m.

Investigators obtained a search warrant later in the evening and collected evidence inside the home.

The victim’s body was removed from the residence shortly before 10 p.m.
