A 21-year-old Jamestown man was killed Monday evening in a single-vehicle crash on Missouri 179, north of Route Z, in Cole County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at about 5:15 p.m.
when a northbound 2003 Ford Ranger traveled off the roadway, went down a steep embankment, and overturned before coming to rest on its passenger side.
The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene
The patrol identified him as a 21-year-old man from Jamestown.
This is Troop F’s first traffic fatality for December and the 46th of the year.
