An Audrain County man has been Sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for receiving child sexual abuse material.

25-year-old Cody Moore pleaded guilty in September to one count of receiving child pornography in U.S. District Court in St. Louis.

Investigators say Moore used a Kik account to download and share explicit images of children.

The case began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a cyber tip in 2022 about 41 illegal files uploaded to that account, traced back to Moore’s home.

When he was arrested in July 2023, officers say they found even more illicit material on his phone.
