More details on that shots fired incident in Boonville over the weekend. Turns out a Howard County man was charged with carjacking, armed robbery and other felonies for allegedly taking a vehicle at gunpoint.
34-year-old Carl Landrum, III was charged Sunday, after a victim reported the carjacking to police at about 6:15 p.m. Saturday.
According to another witness, they saw the car, a black Nissan, rocking back and forth at the intersection before a person got out and ran, and another person fired shots from inside the vehicle. The man then exited the passenger side of the car, got in the driver’s seat, and drove off.
He then ditched the car and ran into a home in the Rosewood subdivision outside New Franklin, where he was arrested without incident.
Prosecutors charged Landrum with first-degree robbery, three counts of armed criminal action, carjacking, attempted first-degree assault and illegal gun possession.
He’s currently being held in the Cooper County Jail on a $350,000 Surety Bond
