Abrams guilty, sentencing hearing set for March

A sentencing hearing has been set for 9 a.m. March 9 at the Boone County Courthouse for 24-year-old Joshua Abrams. He was the Columbia man that a Boone County jury found guilty yesterday (Wednesday).

Abrams was convicted of unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action in connection to a shots fired incident on May 1, 2025, on Clark Lane in Columbia. The jury recommended a sentence of one year in prison for unlawful use of a weapon and three years for armed criminal action, according to court documents.

The jury found Abrams not guilty of a second count each of unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action, as well as a DWI charge, according to court records.
