An elderly woman has lost her life in a house fire in Mexico last (Monday) night.

According to Mexico Public Safety it happened on Elm Tree Drive just before 11.

Fire fighters found the attached garage fully engulfed in flames as well as fire coming out of the back of the home.

The house was a total loss.

The cause is under investigation by the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office and Mexico Public Safety.
