The St. Louis Cardinals were doubled up in a 4-2 loss to the San Diego Padres at Busch Stadium last (Tuesday) night.
Marcell Ozuna broke up a shutout bid for the Padres in the seventh inning and has now driven in five runs in his last four games.
Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas with his second loss of the season struck out five in six innings and did not give up any walks.
The Kansas City Royals downed 5-1 in 10 innings by the Cincinnati Reds. Royals starter Ian Kennedy turned in his best performance of the season pitching 8 shutout innings.
After that the Reds were able to torch the Royals bullpen with five runs.
