A Mexico man was arrested at 9:20 this morning [Friday] on suspicion of burglary, domestic assault and property damage.
According to a probable cause statement, 22 year old Elliot Kitson called his ex-girlfriend and directed her to open the back door. When she refused, he allegedly kicked it in before entering her bedroom and striking her with a closed fist in the ribs.
Kitson left the residence when another person arrived at the home.
Kitson is being held in the Audrain County Jail with a 40 thousand dollar bond.
