Audrain Sheriff Requests Special Investigation Into Allegation

Audrain County Sheriff Matt Oller has requested the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office conduct a special investigation after an inmate made accusation against him.

According to Callway Sheriff Clay Chism, Oller sent a formal request for the investigation on June 25th after Richard Henry, who is being held in the Audrain County Jail on numerous charges, including first degree murder, alleged Oller assaulted him on June 22nd.

Chism says they are investigating to maintain transparency, and the investigation is being handled by a lieutenant in the investigations department, who will be on a fact finding mission for the next couple weeks, and all the information will then be turned over to the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
