A Fulton police officer is in the hospital recovering from serious injuries suffered during a fireworks accident.
According to the Fulton Police Department Officer Tommy Barker was at a family gathering near Jefferson City on Tuesday in the late afternoon when he suffered the injuries.
Barker has been with the department for over ten years and remained hospitalized as of 3 yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
