American Heart Association Wants Reversal of Governor’s Veto
The American Heart Association is seeking a reversal of a line item veto made by Governor Mike Parson in the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
The item vetoed was funds that support the Time Critical Diagnosis System in Missouri.
The program was created to provide better coordination, quicker response times and higher quality of emergency medical care for patients patients that experience trauma, stroke or heart attack.
The $153,546 in question will be discussed July 17 in a house budget meeting.
