Judge Grants Delay in Civil Lawsuit in Carl DeBrodie Case

A federal judge in the Carl Debrodie death case is granting a delay in the civil case against the two owners and operators of Second Chance Homes in Fulton.

A request by Sherry Paulo and Anthony R. Flores to stay the civil lawsuit until the criminal case is complete was granted by Western District Judge Douglas Harpool yesterday (Thursday).

Paulo and Flores were charged in June with Involuntary Manslaughter, Felony Neglect, Felony Abandonment of a Corpse, and two misdemeanor counts of making a false report in the death of 31 year old developmentally disabled Carl Debrodie whose body was found encased in concrete in a Fulton storage unit in April last year.
