KWWR Sports Report 11/10/21
Mizzou men’s basketball opened up the season with a 78-68 win against Central Michigan last night (Tuesday) at Mizzou Arena.
The Tigers improved to 5-0 in season openers under head coach Cuonzo Martin.
The Tigers had five players finish in double figures, led by sophomore Ronnie DeGray III who made his Mizzou debut with 13 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks off the bench.
Senior Javon Pickett led the team with 18 points, while junior Amari Davis contributed 14.
Up next the Tigers continues its season-opening homestand with an in-state showdown against the UMKC on Monday, November 15th at 7pm.
The St. Louis Blues defeated the Winnipeg Jets 3-2 on the road last night (Tuesday).
Jordan Binnington made 39 saves and did not allow a goal on four shots in the shootout.
Ryan O’Reilly scored the only goal in the shootout.
The Blues improved to 8-2-1 on the season.
