Statewide Tornado Drill Set for Tuesday, March 8
Mexico and other Missouri communities will be participating in the statewide tornado drill scheduled for tomorrow morning (Tuesday) at 10.
According to a release from Mexico Public Safety, Audrain County Joint Communications will activate the city’s outdoor warning sirens and reminds residents that those are designed to warn people outside and that if you are indoors, make sure you have other means to get warning information such as radio or weather alert radio, TV or cell phones.
Mexico’s warning sirens will be activated any time a tornado warning or destructive thunderstorm warning is issued by the National Weather Service that includes Mexico.
