Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Facing a Dozen Misdemeanor Charges
A Master Sergeant with the Missouri State Highway Patrol is charged with a dozen misdemeanors after allegedly falsifying information on traffic stops.
Zachary Czerniewski of Montgomery City facing 10 charges in Montgomery County and 2 in Cooper County.
Czerniewski is accused of claiming not to have conducted searches after stopping black males when in fact a search was conducted and of stopping black males but listing their race as white on reports turned in.
Czerniewski is on administrative leave according to the Highway Patrol.
In a statement, Lt. Eric Brown says the Patrol “takes all matters related to racial profiling and biased policing seriously.”
