Mexico FFA Chapter Holds 2022 Chapter Banquet
A new slate of officers are taking reins of the Mexico FFA Chapter after the chapter banquet last night (Thursday) at the Audrain County 4-H Center.
The new officers for 2022-2023 are Nicholas Van Schyndel serving as President, Nell Walker is the Vice-President, the Farm Manager is Cameron Beasley, Jackson Norfleet is the Secretary, Tiffany Darby is the Treasurer, Wyatt Troesser is the Reporter and Tristan Salmons is the Sentinel.
Retiring Senior officer were presented with plaques at the end of the banquet.
State Degree recipients Amelia Denham, Jakob Darby, Dillon Gish, and Katelyn Wuger were recognized as were American Degree recipients Vivian Kerr, Ellen Phillips, Jozey DeVault, Cody Van Horn, Chloe Sims, Taylen Love and Raven Azdell.
Scholarships were also awarded to members courtesy of the Mexico FFA Blue and Gold Supporters and the Mexico Young Farmers.
The Mexico Young Farmers have provided more than ninety-four thousand dollars in scholarship money to Mexico students over the years.
KWWR-FM and the Mexico Ledger were recognized as Friends of the Mexico FFA during the banquet.
Advisors Kendra Allen and Austin McBride were also presented gifts by the officers.
