Paul Goldschmidt and Tommy Edman homered last night and St. Louis scored the winning run when Tyler O’Neill was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning, leading the Cardinals to a 5-4 win over the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night.

The Rockies head into a matchup with the Cardinals on a losing streak tonight at Busch. Game time is 6:45.

Right handed Rockies pitcher, German Marquez vs. Cardinals left-hander Jordan Montgomery. The Colorado Rockies currently rank fifth in the NL West while the St. Louis Cardinals rank first in the NL Central.

In Minneapolis, Sonny Gray matched his season high with 10 strikeouts and Gio Urshela had four hits as the Minnesota Twins beat the Kansas City Royals 9-0.

Gilberto Celestino homered and Luis Arraez picked up three more hits to raise his MLB-best batting average to .336. The Twins moved within a game of AL Central-leading Cleveland.

The Royals play the Twins this afternoon at 12:10 in Minneapolis. Kansas City’s Daniel Lynch vs. Twins’ Tyler Mahle.
