KWWR Sports Report 8/29/22
The Cardinals came late to the party last night, not making a hit until Lars Nootbaar connected in the 6th, but blew past the Braves in the eighth with a home run by Tyler O’Neill to break an eighth-inning tie. The Braves rallied, but not quite enough and the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Atlanta Braves 6 – 5.
The Cards are six games in front of second-place Milwaukee in the NL Central.
Tonight St. Louis is in Cincinnati to take on the Reds at 5:40. Miles Mikolas starts against Chase Anderson.

The Royals had a slugfest last night with 18 hits. Michael A. Taylor homered and drove in four runs, and the Kansas City Royals beat the San Diego Padres 15-7 on Sunday.
The Royals have the day off.
The Community R-VI Softball Lady Trojans fell 4-2 in the season opener against South Callaway. Their next game is Monday night at home against Glasgow.
