Protest Against the Invenergy Tiger Connector at the Public Service Commission
A protest against the Grain Belt Express power lines at the Public Service Commission (PSC) is today at 10am.
The “Tiger Connector” project, owned by Invenergy, includes a 40-mile electric transmission line through Audrain and Callaway counties.
Protest organizers are concerned that local rates will increase and they are happy with current relationships and rates with Missouri non-profit energy co-ops. They also express concern that the power will not benefit Missouri stakeholders as the line extends into Illinois.
The protest will run from 10am until 1pm at 200 Madison Street in Jefferson City.
