KWWR Sports Report 9/9/22

The Cards had a somewhat rare home loss last night to Washington Nationals, 11-6, just the fourth loss in the last 24 home games.

Molina hit a two-run homer in the third and a solo over the wall in the fourth.

St. Louis announced yesterday that for the seventh time in his career, Paul Goldschmidt has been named his team’s nominee for the prestigious Roberto Clemente Award.

St. Louis is at Pittsburgh tonight at 5:35pm. Miles Mikolas vs Roansy Contreras.

The Royals had the night off.

The Detroit Tigers are in Kansas City with the Royals at 7:10pm. Joey Wentz vs Daniel Lynch.

Week three of high school football kicks off tonight at 7pm with a battle of the Bulldogs in Odessa as Mexico is on the road.
