Auxvasse Man Dies Running a Stop Sign

An Auxvasse man, Douglas Thompson, 88, is dead after a crash in Callaway County. The crash was on County Road 245 at Route E yesterday afternoon (Thursday) at 12:20pm, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Thompson failed to stop at a stop sign and drove into the path of a GMC Sierra driven by Mason Sims, 26, of Laddonia.

The Callaway County Medical Examiner pronounced Thompson deceased at the scene.
