KWWR Sports Report 12/5/22
The bowl-bound Missouri Tigers football team now knows their destination.
They will meet Wake Forest for the first time in team history in the Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa, Florida on December 23rd.
The Tigers are 6 – 6 on the season while the Wake Forest Demon Deacons are 7 – 5.
On the hardwood, the Tigers men’s basketball team is just one of a dozen in the country that remain undefeated.
They beat SEMO yesterday, 96 – 89.
Next up is a home contest Saturday afternoon as they host long-time rival Kansas in the Hy-Vee Hoops Border Showdown, tip off set for 4:15.
On the women’s side, they picked up a pair of wins in the Arizona State Classic over the weekend.
They beat UMass on Saturday 71 – 66 and followed that with a win yesterday over the host team, the Arizona State Sun Devils 71 – 60.

The Chiefs left Cincinnati on a losing note yesterday evening in a back and forth game.
The Bengals held on to win 27 – 24.

Pittsburgh got best of St. Louis on the ice Saturday night, beating the Blues 6 to 2.

In the Montgomery County Invitational Basketball Tournament Saturday night, the Fulton Hornets broke Mexico’s 33-game regular season game winning streak.
The Hornets beat the Dawgs 69 – 52.
Next up for Mexico, the conference opener in Marshall tomorrow with a boys / girls varsity only doubleheader.
