Soybeans were mixed on spread trade, May contracts closed 2 and 1/4 higher at $10.52. Beans started the day lower, but by midmorning had turned themselves around. Planters are moving in earnest in Ohio. The USDA says eight percent of the state’s corn, 51 percent of oats, and 10 percent of soybean crops have been planted.
