A 18-year-old man has been taken into custody after a road-rage incident on Highway 124 in Boone County.
Two victims told deputies a white man in a ski mask pointed a gun with a green laser and flashlight at their car for about six seconds before firing two shots.
The three occupants of the victims’ vehicle, including the suspect in the backseat of a silver sedan, fled the scene.
Mid-evening, Centralia Police spotted a matching sedan with three occupants and alerted deputies.
The suspect, Alexander Grayson Ray of Sturgeon, reportedly fled on foot after exiting the vehicle.
Investigators later recovered a loaded Glock 43x under the back seat, with eight rounds in the magazine.
Ray faces multiple charges, including two counts of Armed Criminal Action, two counts of First-Degree Assault, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
He is being held at Boone County Jail without bond.
