19-Year-Old Charged in Fatal DWI Crash in Randolph County

A Knox County man has been charged with DWI, more than two months after a crash on U.S. Route 63 in Randolph County that left two people injured and a fetus died.

Hayden Wilson, 19 at the time of the crash, faces three felony counts of DWI one for causing death and two for causing injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the incident occurred around 11 p.m. on November 8, about two miles south of Moberly, when Wilson’s GMC crossed into oncoming traffic at a stop sign.

A 23-year-old Iowa woman, a passenger in the other vehicle, sustained serious injuries, while the male driver had moderate injuries.

The baby she was carrying did not survive.

A preliminary breath test about an hour after the crash reportedly showed a blood alcohol content of 0.075%, above Missouri’s under-21 limit of 0.02%.

A hearing has not been scheduled yet.
