Two people are seriously hurt and another has moderate injuries after a crash Wednesday evening on Highway 40 in Boone County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol,
a 2003 Honda CR-V driven by a 40-year-old Columbia man was heading eastbound, when it pulled into the path of a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado, hitting it head-on just east of Ivy Lane.
The driver of the Silverado, a 38-year-old Columbia man, was wearing a seatbelt and had moderate injuries.
The Honda’s driver and the 45-year-old female passenger, both from Columbia, weren’t wearing seatbelts and suffered serious injuries.
All three were taken to University Hospital. The Chevrolet had Extensive damage, and the Honda was totaled.
