Adams taken into custody in Vandalia

A Tuesday night stakeout in Vandalia led to a Wednesday morning arrest of a Bowling Green man.

41-year-old Scott J. Adams, who had a Marion County felony warrant, was taken into custody by Audrain County Sheriff’s deputies and the Missouri State Highway Patrol early yesterday (Wednesday) morning, At about 10:30 a.m., law enforcement found and arrested Adams, near Walsh and Lincoln Street in Vandalia.

According to the Audrain County Sheriff’s office, a Highway Patrol Officer suffered a leg/ankle injury during the arrest and was taken to University Hospital for their injuries.

The sheriff’s office said Adams will face additional charges for offenses committed during the course of the operation.
